Applications

Where specification CBG is used

Transport, industry, waste management and agriculture are the use-cases we will discuss in any CBG brief. Each has a different buyer, specification and logistics story. Additional applications — cooking, power generation, generic heating — appear as primary offers only when Saimona confirms that commercial path.

Vehicle fuel

Specification CBG is used as a CNG substitute in transport where the applicable biomethane standard is met.

In India this usually means gas meeting the latest applicable BIS biomethane specification, compressed for cascade or dispensing. SATAT created a market conversation with oil-marketing companies; it did not create take-or-pay. A transport offtake is a commercial workstream: quality, logistics, and who buys the molecule on a given day.

Industrial plant piping and process units.

Industrial energy

On-site or nearby industrial fuel use where offtake does not depend only on a retail-outlet cascade model.

Factories, boilers and process heat can take biomethane or cleaned biogas where the site can use it. Industrial offtake can be simpler than a national retail cascade, but it still needs a specification, a pipe or cascade path, and a buyer who will still be there when the plant is running.

Municipal waste handling.

Waste management

Organic residues diverted from dumping or burning, with energy as a product of the treatment system.

For municipalities and agro-processors, CBG is often justified first as a waste solution. Energy revenue still has to be real, but the project logic starts with what happens to the residue if there is no plant: dumping, burning, or an effluent problem. That is a different brief from a pure fuel play.

Soil and digestate return to agriculture.

Agriculture

Digestate managed as slurry or fermented organic manure where quality, offtake and regulation allow.

What leaves the digester is a second product. Nutrients, pathogens, moisture and a farmer or bulk buyer decide whether digestate is an asset or a disposal cost. We treat it as an offtake, not a footnote, because plants that ignore slurry rarely stay good neighbours.

Note

Commercial energy and other uses

Heating, cooking and power generation are technically possible with biogas or upgraded gas. Competitor sites often list them as generic applications. Saimona will add them as primary offers only if the company confirms that commercial path.

Until then, the four uses above — transport, industry, waste management and agriculture — are the conversations we will have on a CBG brief. Each has a different buyer, specification and logistics story, which is why they are described separately rather than as a slogan strip.
